About 19 Oaks

Shay Bellas

President

I left law school in 2000 and bought the first women’s professional football team in the state of Maine and have been an entrepreneur ever since. Having co-founded 19 Oaks in 2008/2009 I learned very quickly how important goals, structure, process, and continuous improvement were to the success of a business. I led a company of between 5-9 employees with that grit for 10 years and realized that the most efficient and effective marketing and sales teams really needed to be in-house. So I bring that same grit and over a decade of success to each of my clients and their teams. I am deeply passionate and take great pride in their success. But I’m not just a hard worker, I think it’s imperative to have a balanced life and enjoy travelling the world with my family and spending most days doing outdoor activities or enjoying theater, museums and fine dining.

Social Media Marketing Manager

I am here to help clients without a pre-existing marketing staff.  Together we create goals and develop all of the necessary marketing prosses, tools, and content libraries to meet them. This creates a template for success that can be implemented with their own staff.

I graduated summa cum laude from Casco Bay High School an expeditionary learning school. This school fed my passion for learning and creative problem solving instilled in me from my years of homeschooling. Social media marketing is a great creative outlet for me and I love helping my community with the products and services our clients offer. An example of this is our client Backyard ADUs who build affordable backyard tiny homes for their clients. Small living is an admirable cause that can help solve the housing crisis. Small homes are also near and dear to my heart as I plan to live in a camper van and travel the world.

Your Team

We have amazing talent for writing, design, web development and SEO when your team isn’t available or we need the expertise outside of their skill set.

We like to incorporate your team into the strategy, process, implementation, and analytics. They understand your company better than our writers and designers ever could. So we teach them the systems and process, and they bring the expertise. This adds value to the market, provides your team with a great sense of engagement and satisfaction, and lowers your cost. But when you don’t have someone with the necessary skills — maybe SEO, design, or technical writing no worries, we help find the right expert for your brand, industry, and goals.  They contract directly with you and your team so you can use them on projects in the future.

We chose the number 19 because it is a prime number and a combination of 1 and 9. Number 1 is significant because it’s the first of the counting numbers, the beginning. Number 9 is the last of the single numbers, representing intuition, problem-solving, and completion — an ending that leads to a new beginning.

We chose the oak because it’s a tree that withstands incredibly strong storms, including tornadoes and hurricanes. Even when they’re stripped of their leaves, oak trees survive because of their strength, their curvy branches, and their deep roots.
